WHY EPC
Why You Need an EPC
Since October 2008, it’s been a legal requirement for landlords to provide an EPC before marketing a residential property to rent. The same applies to homeowners selling their property—an EPC must be available to all prospective buyers.
These certificates give clear information about a property’s energy efficiency and offer recommendations to reduce carbon emissions and lower energy bills. That means better value for tenants and buyers, and a more attractive investment overall.
Quidos Accreditation
Professional, Fast & Friendly Service
As a member of the Quidos Accreditation Scheme (Reg. No. QUID201091), I guarantee a high standard of work.
You can expect:
Prompt and flexible appointment scheduling
Most home visits completed in under an hour
EPC turnaround time typically 1–2 days
Helpful advice tailored to your property
Discounts for multiple EPCs
Whether you’re a landlord, homeowner, or letting agent, I aim to exceed expectations with every assessment.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
If there is anything else you want to ask us then please give us a call!
How long is my EPC valid for?
EPCs are valid for ten years, except if they are part of a Home Information Pack (HIP). If it is part of a HIP, an EPC must be less than three years old when the building is first put on the market. See ‘Home Information Packs’ for more information about getting a HIP.
What does an EPC look like?
It looks like the ones you have on new electrical appliances and works in the same way, A is the most energy efficient, G the least energy efficient. The average house in the UK is an E.
Is the EPC any use to me?
Yes it is. Along with the certificate are recommendations to improve your energy efficiency, you are not obliged to instigate these measures but it is useful in energy efficiency awareness, maybe for your next property.
It also gives you information on the Environmental Efficiency of your property and can help you reduce your carbon footprint.
How long does an energy survey take?
It depends on the complexity and size of your house, it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over 1 hour. We will give you an idea of how long when we receive your enquiry.
